Please READ THIS. I BEG YOU TO READ THIS! I WAS DEEPLY INSULTED BY ONE OF THE OWNERS! I live across the street and I was watching Women Wold Cup Soccer at home, which I love. The semi-finals went into over time. I was getting hungry. I went in and asked to have a screen turned to the game. I ordered food. There was no sound. When I asked the server/ bar lady to put the sound, she said that she could not, being the rule of the establishment. The game was dramatic. And yet I had to listen to a rather anticlimactic background music. I grew frustrated. I mentioned this to the server and that fact that I will write a review to the effect. A young man came by and discussed the game. I mentioned my concerns. He introduced himself as being part of the family that owned the place. Furthermore, he explained that it costs extra to have the sound on, that this is not really a sports bar... I also explained that nonetheless, I am a paying customer and wished I did not come in, that I should have gone to some other place and enjoy the event, one that takes place every four years! Instead of showing empathy, the young man eventually walked away making a gesture of dismissal. Why did he do that? Why did one of the owners choose to insult me? I had real concerns, and I spoke with heartfelt terms, I did not in any way use harsh terms, I only voiced my frustration for having been deprived of my joy of seeing the awesome girls playing in the World Cup, with sound, like in many other sport bars. This hurts. I have been a good customer of this establishment for many months now and I deserve consideration as such. Besides, I could be the grandfather of the young man. Why was insulted? I hope I receive a public apology. Should I not, I should advertise the fact that I was not just listened to as I should have been but utterly insulted, needlessly!, and never step foot inside!

The beer and food were really good. Those alone deserve 5 stars. However, the service was terrible. It took forever to get a drink, we were never offered a second drink and I had to wait a ridiculous account of time for my check. There was no thank you for coming in. Hopefully it was just our server, he was the absolute worst!

We loved this place! We were a small group of 10, but had the entire upstairs to ourselves with games, great music, our own bar and bartender. The food was delish and so reasonable. Their own brew selection and quality is perfectly Portland with something for everyone, plus they can make any type of cocktail or beverage you wish. I wish I'd known about this place years ago! You and your friends are guaranteed great atmosphere, classic food, and tasty brews! Cheers!

I was in on April 22 for some drinks and food. It was very slow. We got drinks in a decent amount of time, but the food took quite a while. The server was barely around and worst of all after paying the bill he shorted my change by $10. The service at the pub has been an ongoing issue but the food and beer usually made up for it. That doesn't appear to be the case anymore. Did not make for a good Birthday getting bad service and stiffed on change. I will not return nor buy any of your beers again. There are too many options in Portland for good beer and service.

Awesome beer and great food! Their happy hour is pretty great too. It's something like $1.50 off each beer and cheap bites. I'd highly recommend the fish and chips as well
